The Predicted Top Five Best Offenses Of The 2021/22 NFL Season
Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes is the highest paid player in NFL history for a good reason. The Chiefs
quarterback is the figurehead of a stellar offense that includes depth at running back, a selection of receivers that can catch balls anywhere on the field and, perhaps most importantly, have developed a real chemistry with Mahomes. Improving their offensive line in the off season was a great move and means that the Chiefs are still the most explosive offense in the NFL.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tom Brady may be 3 billion years old, or something, but he is still producing at the highest level and winning Super Bowl rings. There was a time that defense won Championships, but over the last few years the Chiefs and Bucs have blown that trend out of the water. Excellent receivers, a powerful running game and a top notch offensive line mean that the Bucs may be even more slick on offense this year than last. That’s a worry for NFL defenses.
Last season, the Titans defense was so horrible that they had to rely on their offense to win games and Ryan Tannehill and Derek Henry led the team to those victories in the main. Henry is the best running back in the NFL, Tannehill a comeback player of the year and A.J.Brown one of the best young receivers in the NFL. That was already a stacked offense, but then the Titans went an added Julio Jones to run routes opposite to Brown. Few teams may be able to outscore the Chiefs or Bucs in a shootout. The Titans could be one of them.
If you like a balanced offense then the Browns arguably are the team to watch next season. They have an incredible 1-2 punch at running back in Nick Chub and Kareem Hunt, and with Baker Mayfield maturing nicely into a top notch quarterback, if they can keep their star wide receivers such as Odell Beckham Jr. fit and healthy, which has been a problem for them in recent years, then the Browns could be a genuine contender in the AFC.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams already had a very strong offense, but perhaps lacked the leadership at quarterback to take them to the next level. However, trading Jared Goff in exchange for Matt Stafford could well mean that the final piece of the jigsaw is in place. There’s still a couple of question marks on how this team will gel on offense, but the quality is most definitely there and the Rams should be viewed as Super Bowl contenders.
Teams that almost made the top five – Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys.
And the five teams that definitely won’t shine on offense this season – Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, New York Jets & Houston Texans.
