After last weekend’s statement win over the Los Angeles Rams, the Arizona Cardinals can put their feet up on Thursday night and watch as two of their divisional rivals go head to head in what should be a cracker at the Lumen Stadium.
The Rams are back in action after that sobering defeat to the Cardinals at the weekend and they face a tough test, heading north to take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks, a week after the Seahawks got their season back on track with a 28-21 victory over another divisional rival, the San Francisco 49ers.
The NFC West, along with its AFC counterpart, are reckoned to be the toughest divisions in the NFL right now, by a considerable margin and it is because of this that these divisional matchups become incredibly vital in the battle to reach the playoffs.
So, we’re going to preview tonight’s Thursday Night Football action and give you our top picks for the betting markets, courtesy of BetRivers Sportsbook.

Seahawks Up And Down Season Continues
After starting the season with a win over the Colts, the Seahawks then dropped two games to the Titans and Vikings, before climbing back to a 0.500 record with a win over the 49ers last weekend.
Pete Carroll will know that he needs far greater consistency from his team than they have shown so far this season, especially in a division stacked with talent.
To be fair to the Seahawks, their team performance against the 49ers was solid. No individual really stood out with eye-catching figures, although Russell Wilson was his usual effective and efficient self, hitting two touchdowns for 149 yards and connecting on 16 or just 23 pass attempts.
It is clear that Wilson along with wide receiver D.K.Metcalf are the main weapons on the Seattle offense and the problems the Rams had dealing with Kyler Murray last Sunday will be something that will surely be in the Seahawks game plan, even if Wilson isn’t quite as nimble as he once used to be.
However, the real battle for the home team on Thursday night may come on the defensive side of the ball.
Rams Explosive Offense Primed To Go
After three excellent weeks, the new Rams offense looked primed to be anointed one of the best in the NFL. However, for the first time, Matt Stafford and his offensive mates struggled against the Cardinals.
Stafford threw an uncharacteristic interception and there were other missed opportunities as the usually fluid Rams offense misfired, admittedly against an outstanding Cardinals defense who gave the Rams problems the whole game.
The question Seattle fans will be asking themselves is will Bobby Wagner and company be able to put the pressure on Stafford to move him out of his comfort zone and to make more of those mistimed plays.
Key to that could be the fitness of Seattle’s main pass rush threat, but with several edge rushers banged up, two of whom missed Tuesday’s practice (Carlos Dunlap and Darrell Taylor), their fitness status come Thursday could well decide the outcome of this game.
Latest Betting For Rams @ Seahawks
BetRivers have the Rams as the -2.5 favorites for this game at -108, with the Seahawks +2.5 at -113. On the money line, the Rams are shorter still at -137, with the Seahawks +120.
Thursday Night games have been close and dramatic affairs so far this season, so I am going to take the Seahawks here at +2.5, but I do feel that the Rams may still just snatch the win, perhaps by a single point.
