Believe it or not, the NFL preseason period is now set to start and on Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys will play the opening game of pre-season.
They are the only two teams playing on Week One of the preseason with all teams facing an additional game in the schedule this year. As such, the remaining 30 NFL Teams will all begin their preseason matches on Week 2 the following weekend.
Preseason is also a key time for punters who are always looking to enjoy a bet on the NFL Futures markets available, whether that is picking which team will win each of the four divisions in the NFC and AFC, picking the conference winners, or even selecting the eventual Super Bowl winners.

BetRivers Sportsbook. NFL Futures Markets
The good news is that we have already given you our picks for the NFL Futures markets for each of the divisions in the AFC and NFC in a series of articles which finished a couple of weeks ago.
But alongside picking which team will win each of the four divisions in the AFC and NFC, there are also plenty of other Futures Markets to bet on if you prefer.
- Who will win the Super Bowl in the 2021/22 season (NFL Championship betting)
- Which player will be the MVP of the 2021/22 season
- Who will win the AFC/NFC Championships
- Who will be the Offensive Player Of The Year in 2021/22
- Who will be the Defensive Player Of The Year in 2021/22
- Who will be the Comeback Player Of The Year in 2021/22
- Who will be the Offensive Rookie Of The Year in 2021/22
- Who Will Be The Defensive Rookie Of The Year in 2021/22
In addition to these bets, there are a number of other special futures bets available based on specific NFL players and this includes players such as A.J. Brown, Aaron Rodgers, Christian McCaffrey, Dak Prescott, Dalvin Cook, DeAndre Hopkins, Ezekiel Elliott, Josh Allen, Julio Jones, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs, Tom Brady, Trevor Lawrence and many more besides.
Who Would We Bet On For This Offer In The Key Markets?
We’ve already picked our teams for the eight Divisional Titles up for grabs, but who are our picks for the eight other markets listed above?
- Super Bowl Winners – Kansas City Chiefs (+500)
I expect the Titans, Bills and Browns to push the Chiefs close in the AFC and they’ll likely face either the Bucs or Rams in the Super Bowl from the NFC, but I still feel Andy Reid’s team is the smart bet in this market.
- MVP 2021/22 – Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) (+1600)
I think Stafford can take the Rams all the way to the Super Bowl this season and if he can, he may well be a very real MVP candidate.
- NFC/AFC Champions – Los Angeles Rams (+650), Kansas City Chiefs (+250)
We’ve already said we fancy a Chiefs v Rams Superbowl, and these are the odds these two teams are to win their respective Conference titles.
- Offensive Player Of The Year – Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans) (+600)
Henry rushed for 2000+ yards last season and his offense around him has got even better with the signing of Julio Jones. The Titans will be explosive on offense this year and if any team can beat the Chiefs, it may well be Tennessee and Henry will be the key to that.
- Defensive Player Of The Year – Chase Young (Washington Football Team) (+1200)
I was hugely impressed with Chase Young in his rookie season and I think he will be a star man for Washington and their talented defence this year.
- Comeback Player Of The Year – Saquon Barkley (New York Giants) (+600)
After missing almost all of last season with injury, I expect Barkley to be a key figure for the Giants this season and to help the team improve markedly on last season’s showing.
- Offensive Rookie Of The Year – Najee Harris (Pittsburgh Steelers) (+500)
Of all the rookies drafted this year, I think Harris has the most chance to get lots of game time and play in a team that wins enough games for him to be a genuine contender for this title.
- Defensive Rookie Of The Year – Caleb Farley (Tennessee Titans) (+2500)
If he has recovered from his injury, Farley could be a steal for the Titans as he was a top five prospect in the draft until injury struck and he will likely get plenty of chances to prove his worth in what was a leaky Titans secondary last season.
Remember, place your bet on Sunday’s to claim this offer from BetRivers!
