Never give up. That’s the message of the Brooklyn Nets vs the Phoenix Suns game on Tuesday night.
Down nearly 24 points late in the second half, the Nets clawed back over the next two quarters, spurred by the dominance of James Harden, who hit a 3-pointer with 29.8 seconds to go to put the Nets over the top.
It wasn’t all Harden, as the bench rose to the occasion with the Nets bench scoring another 40 points and Joe Harris contributing 15 points.
Although not the greatest comeback in NBA history — that honor goes to the Jazz’s 36 point come-from-behind victory against the Nuggets in 1998 — it is still among some of the best comebacks ever.
Watch the highlights of the game getting all of the attention since last night.
James Harden = MVP?
James Harden won an MVP award during the 2017-2018 season and finished second in voting for three other seasons (2014-2015, 2016-2017, 2018-2019). Last week, we took a look at the top six MVP candidates . James Harden was not on that list and since that writeup, MVP favorite Lebron James continues to go up.
Harden had an MVP-like performance during Tuesday’s game, but he is still a huge underdog to take down the award this year. As of Wednesday morning, you can currently get Harden at +6600 on the DraftKings sportsbook. While the lines clearly suggest Harden has little chance to win the MVP, with only 27 games played by the Rockets, the argument is anything but settled.
Harden is beginning to be an underrated mvp candidate

Sports bettors light up Twitter after the game
Of course, Some sports bettors were able to take advantage of the Nets hot run in the second quarter, although this bettor was probably questioning his choices at half time.

With the huge comeback, sports bettors on the side of the Nets were blowing up Twitter on Tuesday night. Just how unlikely was the Nets comeback? Some sports bettors who saw some strength at the end of the half were able to take advantage of the Nets hot run in the second half. During half-time, you could have got 25:1 odds on the Nets pulling out the miracle.
The Nets were trailing the Suns by 20 at the half.
At one point, a $10 ML bet on the Nets would've paid out $250 🤯 pic.twitter.com/zdsLopJ9Kq

For those that missed on the half-time lines, there were also plenty of opportunities for sports bettors throughout the comeback through live betting platforms.

That was a beauty. It got up to +1000, so I jumped on it at $40 turned that into $440.
