How FanDuel Compares to DraftKings
As a site that has offered daily fantasy soccer for a while, DraftKings has had a head start from FanDuel. The more established product has allowed DraftKings to offers contests for a variety of leagues including from the MLS, LIGA, and UCL.
Another big difference between both sites is how they score their soccer contests. DraftKings soccer scoring has fewer categories and generally awards less points than FanDuel, resulting in higher scoring games. The FanDuel scoring system seems to have at least a few fans so far. If you are used to soccer on DraftKings, you will definitely want to make adjustments for FanDuel EPL scoring.
In addition to the larger variety of contests, DraftKings also offers a larger premier event ($25,000 with a $4 buy-in) and more variety with the contests that it offers. We expect the gap to close over the coming weeks as FanDuel soccer contests gain more traction. While we don’t anticipate that FanDuel will offer other leagues yet, the number of contests and prize pools could certainly increase.
