DraftKings adds tennis to its selection of daily fantasy sports offerings with 6-person rosters and a $50,000 salary cap.
DraftKings added yet another daily fantasy sport to its site with the launch of tennis contests last week. With the introduction of tennis DFS, DraftKings becomes the first major DFS site to offer daily fantasy tennis and now has over a dozen sports and leagues available for its popular daily contest.
With tennis being a relatively obscure fantasy sport, you may be wondering how to play these newly contests.
Your serve. Fantasy tennis is finally here on DraftKings.

DraftKings Tennis Summary
Upon launch of DFS tennis, DraftKings will be offering users one style type of contests, at least for now — a traditional “Classic” salary cap contests. For some other sports, DraftKings has introduced Pick’em, Showdown and contests with smaller rosters.
To participate in these contests, a user must draft a 6-player lineup consisting of men, women or both while staying under a $50,000 lineup.
DraftKings Rules and Scoring
Due to the fact that men tennis matches are longer – a maximum of 5 sets vs 3 points – points are tweaked to their female counterparts.
In addition to the awarding of points for common tennis stat categories, bonus points are also awarded in a variety of bonus categories. For example, bonuses are hit when a player hits a certain level of aces (10 for women and 15 for men) or when a player does not double fault during a match (2.5 or 5 points).

Availability of DraftKings Tennis Contests
DraftKings tennis contests will be available during Grand Slam tournaments – Wimbleton, French Open, US Open and Australia Open – as well notable tournaments throughout the tennis season (January through November). Slates will generally be available for matches from the day, although we would expect that as the games become more popular, additional slates will be added.
Users can join head to head, 50/50s, double-ups, multipliers, satellites and qualifier contests. In addition, restricted contests are also offered for beginners as well as those wishing to play single and/or limited entry events.
