These Cracking College Football Future Market Bets Are Worth Considering

The start of the NCAAF College Football Season may be a few months away as yet, but the exciting finish to last season which saw the Alabama Crimson Tide claim their fifth crown in the past ten years over Ohio State Buckeyes, has whetted the appetite of many for the new campaign.

Of course, with many of the stars of last season, such as Alabama quartet Mac Jones, Najee Harris, DeVonta Smith and Patrick Surtain II, along with Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields, all now forging new careers for themselves in the NFL, it is time for other players to step up to the mark.

Recruitment to ensure the top colleges and universities snap up the best young talent on scholarships means that each year, there is a steady stream of new college football talent ready to fill the void left by those that have either graduated or moved onto the professional ranks.

In this article, we are going to look at some of the really interesting futures betting markets you can find now at BetRivers PA, which may well see their odds shortening as we head towards the start of the season and especially when the season gets underway.

I’m not going to be tipping conference winners because the usual suspects are such short odds that they are not worth a bet at the moment, so let’s get straight to it with some big hitter bets for the major college future markets.

Who Win’s The Heisman Trophy 2021?

winner and earned himself a professional contract with the Philadelphia Eagles as a result.

This year, the favorite to win the trophy is Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler. After a solid campaign for the Sooners last year where he connected on 28 touchdowns (7 interceptions) for 3,031 yards hitting a 67.5% completion rate, Rattler has long been regarded as a likely high pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

Other contenders in this market could be North Carolina’s quarterback Sam Howell, USC Defensive End Drake Jackson, Oreon’s Edge Ruser Kayvon Thibodeaux, Notre Dae safety Kyle Hamilton and LSU Cornerback Derek Stingley.

More likely perhaps are two sophomore quarterbacks stepping up this season. Clemson’s DJ Uiagalelei and Alabama’s Bryce Young have some big shoes to fill but both are capable of keeping their teams in real contention for the NCAAF Championship.

It is very much a case of slotting in for these top prospects and I think of them all Uigalelei at +600 may be the best betting option at this stage of the pre-season.

Who Should I Back To Win The NCAAF Championship?

So who is going to be the College team celebrating THE big win next season? Alabama, unsurprisingly, are the obvious pick here and you have to respect their record of five wins in ten years of the coveted title. Little wonder Nick Saban’s team are a short price +255 already with BetRivers PA.

Behind them, their perennial rivals Clemson are the close second favorites at +300, with this year’s beaten finalists Ohio State +400. The Oklahoma Sooners, with Spencer Rattler at quarterback are next at +700 alongside the Georgia Bulldogs.

Those five teams seem to be the hot picks, with the next two best options, Texas A&M and LSU both rated as +2500 by BetRivers.

My pick here may be a surprise as I think that the team to back here are the Oklahoma Sooners. Kennedy Brooks should be back this season, which will massively boost their rushing game which also enhances the prospects for quarterback Spencer Rattler, with defenses having to respect both the run and passing game.

Add to that a solid receiving corps, depth at running back and a defense that has improved markedly over the course of last season and I think the momentum is with the Sooners at the moment.
