Daniel Dvoress is the latest bracelet winner after he won the $1500 Millionaire Maker event on GGPoker. Meanwhile Kristen Bicknell is crushing the WPT events on partypoker. And the Doug Polk/Daniel Negreanu Feud keeps heating up. We have all those stories and more in this – the weekend edition of the Hit and Run.
Daniel Dvoress Wins GGPoker WSOP $1500 Millionaire Maker Event
The latest bracelet winner is none other than one of the best in the game: Daniel Dvoress! The Canadian defeated an absurd 6,299-player field to win his very first bracelet and $1,489,289!
Dvoress defeated Caio “Ez4ENCE” De Almeida of Brazil heads up when the Bazilian’s K8 couldn’t rundown Dvoress’s KQ. The other big name at the final table was Anatoly “Mr_Deer” Filatov who bowed out in 3rd, but still pocketed a cool $772,251 for his efforts.
As always here are the official final table and results courtesy of PokerNews:
Congrats to all the big winners!
-Checking out the World Poker Tour website website, we see that Kristen Bicknell is still atop the partypoker championship leaderboard. The three-time bracelet winner has a small lead on pros Gavin Cochrane and Sam Grafton. “The Player of the Championship leaderboard has an extra $75,000 on offer, divided over the top ten best players of the series. For every event you cash in, you collect points toward the leaderboard with the eventual winner walking away with $50,000. The runner-up gets $10,000, third gets $5,000, fourth $3,000, fifth, $2,000, and there’s $1,000 for position six through ten.”
-Meanwhile, over on PokerCentral, you’ll love the latest episode of Run It Back with Remko. This latest episode takes a look at the beloved 2009 $5,000 Ante Up for Africa Charity Event. Comedian and poker commentator Joe Stapleton is on the mic to breakdown how the celebrities play Hold ‘Em.
-Heading over to USPoker.com, the site talks about all the latest poker players to add their names to Pep Talk. Pep Talk is a virtual coaching app that now features one on one sessions with Fedor Holz, Liv Boeree, Jamie Gold, and now Maria Ho. Maria noted,“I’m excited to work with people who are striving to handle the pressure that comes with being a poker pro. “Or young women who are putting together a career plan and need inspiration and encouragement, or people who are interested in honing their presentation skills and what it takes to succeed in broadcasting.”
-And of course, you know we’re always going to head over to Cardplayerlifestyle.com to see what Robbie and Co. have to say. This week Robbie has a great interview with Papi himself, Joey Ingram. The 35-year-old YouTube star and PLO expert recently talked to Robbie about the changing poker landscape and where he sees his career going.
-And finally, there certainly isn’t any love lost between Doug Polk and Daniel Negreanu. Here, just in case you forgot:
Things to do while you wait:
1. Find a hobby
2. Make dinner for your significant other
3. Take a long walk
4. Practice poker
5. Watch a movie
6. Read a book
7. Twiddle your thumbs
In the meantime, I’ll be grinding @GGPokerOfficial WSOP.

-Daniel Negreanu has slowed down on the vlogs a bit, but he’s certainly been streaming up a storm. Check out this one where he makes another deep run in the HK$8,000 Asia Championship on GG Poker. (Also, Daniel thought he had lost a $100k prop bet to Daniel Dvoress…but did he?)
-And finally, Lee Davies has been getting some great interviews for his series A Hero’s Journey. His latest is with Seth Davies. Listen to what the high stakes crusher has to say over on the Run It Once channel:
