Shahar Levi Leads Mini Main Event Final Table
They are down to just seven in the third event at the World Series of Poker Europe – the €1,350 Mini Main Event. Leading the way is Shahar Levi with a commanding 30 million in chips. More than double what second place has! Jose Rivas, Vangelis Kaimakamis, Luigi Macaluso, Markus Jordan, and Didier Rabl round out the rest of the final table.
These players will come back tomorrow to play for the coveted gold bracelet and a first place prize of €167,056.

Orpen Kisacikoglu Leads €25,500 Short Deck High Roller
T’was a star-studded field that sat down to play Event #6: €25,500 Short Deck High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, but the biggest names would fall by the way side just before the final table. Players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and Dario Sammartino made deep runs, but fell short of final table glory.
But those that did make it include Orpen, Rob Yong, and Thai Ha. In all 111 total entries plopped down the big bucks for this one. 61 unique players in all. The winner of this bad boy will take home a cool €740,992 while 7th place will get a paltry €88,128.

-One of the more enjoyable, popular articles we’ve read this week comes from the cardplayerlifestyle.com blog. Robbie S. returned with his “Ask the Experts” series, and this week he got five of poker’s more popular ladies to answer the question how women who have only played ladies-only tournaments should transition into cash games. Marle Cordeiro, Vanessa Kade, Sofia Lovgren, and Jennifer Tilly were all kind enough to share their expertise on the subject.
-Meanwhile everyone’s favorite WSOP Main Event runner-up’s fiancee Ashley Sleeth took down the $1,100 Turbo Bounty event at Run It Up Reno. Ashley was able to defeat a field of 224 entrants to win trophy and also almost $30,000! Afterwards Sleeth exclaimed, “It feels awesome; it feels so awesome. Any time you can even final table a tournament it’s amazing. This final table was really fun, and Run It Up is really fun.”
-Over on PokerCentral they’re combining business with pleasure as Paul Seaton takes a look at the top ten businessmen who also play poker. Who’s all on the list? You could probably guess a couple – Bill Perkins, Dan Shak, Paul Newey, but check out who else rounds out the Top Ten.
