Other WSOP action
Leading up to the Main Event this weekend, there are some other high-profile WSOP bracelet events currently ongoing and a few remaining.
A total of 128 players joined the $25,000 Heads-Up People’s Choice event, which is awarding $3.1 million in prizes. Just four players remain for the event which will pick up on Sunday at 6 PM UTC time.
Brunno Botteon will meet up against Oktay Kahyaoglu while GG Poker ambassador Fedor Holz will go head to heads with Sergi Reixach. The winners of each of those matches will meet in the final with a $1,070,250 first-place prize up for grabs. The four remaining players are guaranteed at least $311,150.
The third of the “People’s Choice Events” also got underway on Thursday. While the first two events were chosen by vote, the elements of today’s People’s Choice tournament were determined in a random manner through the spinning of a prize wheel. The tournament became a $1,050 buy-in 6-handed No Limit Hold’em tournament, with players starting with 25,000 chips. A winner will be crowned later by the end of the day.
