Do you believe in miracles? After winning €121,486.95 in the Galfond Challenge against Venividi on Monday during Day 35, Phil Galfond has ended a day with the overall lead for the first time of the challenge. On Monday, the pair played 758 hands of €100/€200 Pot Limit Omaha and after the €121k day, Galfond leads Venividi by €81,064.56.

Over the course of the last month, Galfond has wiped out Venividi’s €900,000 lead that he held on March 4th when the Challenge resumed after Galfond took a hiatus to clear his head. Since returning, Galfond has won 15 out of the last 20 sessions. They now have played 22,097 hands out of 25,000 required for the challenge.
