Galfond set to face off against Bill Perkin and the Thirst Lounge “this week”
Sunday was an exciting day for those who have been following the Galfond Challenge as Phil Galfond pulled out the win on the last hand of the challenge after 40 days of competition and nearly a seven-figure deficit at one point. Review the day’s action with PartTimePoker’s David Huber recap of the conclusion on Sunday.
So now that Galfond has completed the challenge with Venividi, what’s next for Galfond? Another challenge of course, this time with Bill Perkins and The Thirst Lounge crew. And Galfond is not waiting long before getting started, suggesting on Twitter that it will begin this week.
Sorry for being slow to reply to all of the wonderful messages I’ve gotten already.
I desperately need some rest.
We’ll be moving on to the next #GalfondChallenge this week.

The Challenge with Perkins and The Thirst Lounge crew will take on a slightly different structure than the previous challenge. The stakes will be lowered to €100/€200 PLO with the challenge lasting for either 50,000 hands or a €400k loss for the Thirst Lounge. Galfond is also giving Perkins better side bet odds – $1 million to his $250,000.
