David Peters is 2019 US Poker Open Champion

David Peters is the winner of the US Poker Open $100,000 Main Event after outlasting 33 of the game’s highest rollers to win the $1,320,000 first place prize, the largest of the USPO. In winning the tournament, Peters also leapfrogged the top of the leaderboard to win the 2019 US Poker Open Overall standings.

With his win, David Peters now has $31,590,261 in lifetime tournament winnings to his name, which is 5th all-time, behind only Fedor Holz, Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu and Justin Bonomo. The victory was his fifth $1 million plus score in the last year.

The conclusion of the Main Event represents the end of the 2019 US Poker Open. Peters snagged the 2019 USPO Championship after eclipsing strong performances from Sean Winter and 2018 US Poker Open champion Stephen Chidwick. For his win, Peters wins a $100,000 bonus as well as the 2019 US Poker Open trophy.

Caesars Entertainment has partnered with the DraftKings Sportsbook on a multi-year deal that will enable DraftKings to operate online sportsbooks and casinos where Caesars has a physical presence. Caesars currently has casinos in 14 states, including New Jersey, Mississippi, Nevada and Pennsylvania, which already offer legalized sports betting. As part of the deal, Caesars Entertainment will acquire an equity stake in DraftKings.

PokerStars will hold the $200,000 Turbo Series in New Jersey from February 22nd to March 3rd, while WSOP.com will run the WSOP Online Circuit series in Nevada and New Jersey, which will guarantee $1 million in prize pools.
