One of the most famous poker players in the world rarely plays poker publicly. But poker fans got a rare look into the play of Instagram King Dan Bilzerian during a recent episode of Poker After Dark.
He sat down for a session with other notable poker players such as Bill Perkins, Jamal “Mally Mall” Rashid, Chris Eubank Jr., Steve Aoki and David Bell. The players bought into the $50/$100 $500 ante game of No Limit Hold’em with between $15,000 and $40,000.
In recent years, seeing Bilzerian at the poker tables has been an increasingly rare sight. But Bilzerian is slowly making his way back into the poker sphere. Earlier this year, Bilzerian joined top online poker site GG Poker as a sponsored pro to represent the brand and help grow the online poker room.
Watch clips of Dan Bilzerian on Poker After Dark
Poker After Dark is broadcast on PokerGO, which requires a subscription to view the show in its entirety. You can subscribe for $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
Although poker fans will need a subscription to watch new episodes of Poker After Dark, including the episode featuring Dan Bilzieran, PokerGO did upload some hands on YouTube involving Bilzerian, which you can see below.
In the first clip, Bilzerian is dealt AA against friend Bill Perkins and Mall. In this hand, Bilzerian is dealt AA and gets involved in a big pot preflop with Perkins holding 77 and Mall with pocket 10s. After Bilzerian said he raised because he was “pot committed,” Perkins concurred by saying that he too was pot committed.
Watch how it played out:
In another hand from the session, Bilzerian goes head to head with Chris Eubank Jr. This time it was Eubank Jr. with pocket aces while Bilzerian is dealt QJ offsuit and hits top pair on the flop.
What did poker fans think of Dan Bilzerian’s appearance on Poker After Dark?
Poker fans had a lot to say about Bilzerian’s most recent appearance on Poker After Dark. Some in the industry used the opportunity to question Bilzerian’s involvement with GG Poker:
Many women in poker: Bilzerian is horribly offensive & GGPoker is wrong for paying his as a representative. We want the poker industry to hear and respect us.
Poker Central & many in poker media: Let's feature Bilzerian on our shows & promote his appearances.

Others were to quick to make jabs at Bilzerian’s play:
Watching some PAD while I can’t sleep and this hand happened. The hand went to showdown, Bell with the J high FLUSH just declared “Jack high” and mucked. Bilzerian had the chips pushed his way for showing down a 9…

I've seen some bad play on Poker After Dark, but it's hard to top the Bilzerian game where multiple people folded winning hands at showdown.

While others simply used it as yet another opportunity to poke fun at Bilzerian:
