Alexandros Kolonias takes home 2020 Purple Jacket
Alexandros Kolonias took down the final event of the Poker Masters online held at partypoker, the $10,000 6-Max No Limit Hold’em, to win a first-place prize of $367,782. In his path to the title, Kolonias outlasted 146 entries including Jason McConnon heads-up, winning his second title of this year’s Poker Masters (the first was a first-place finish in the $10,300 NLHE – Event #7).
In winning his second title, the victory secured Kolonias the 2020 Poker Masters Purple Jacket, which is awarded to the player with the most points earned during the series. He joins a small list of previous winners that include Steffen Sontheimer, Ali Imsirovic, and Sam Soverel.
Prior to the final event, Mustpha Kanit won $237,732 in the $10,300 6-Max (Event #28) while Linus Loegliger came on top of the $51,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #28) to win the largest prize of the Poker Masters – $1,097,250.

– Phil Galfond kicked off another Galfond Challenge on Monday when he played a short session with “ActionFreak.” Only 145 hands were played at €150/€300 Pot Limit Omaha but not before ActionFreak jumped out to an €11,162.32 lead. – Unibet has announced that they will be rescheduling all remaining 2020 live tournament dates as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes major events scheduled in September and December. The events will now be moved online, something which tournament series such as the WPT and WSOP Circuit have done with some events over the last few weeks.
– Sports betting is launching in Colorado on May 1st with DraftKings being one of the sportsbook that will be available. Despite the fact that sportsbook will not open until May 1st, DraftKings CO Betting Pools are available now, allowing users to participate in Colorado-themed Pools.
