It may not be exactly like it used to be, but on Tuesday, the iconic Live at the Bike Poker stream returned for the first time in over a year with “real cash poker, LIVE, unedited, unscripted, the way it was meant to be played.”
Players sat down for five hours of high-stakes poker from a Live at the Bike poker table in the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California.
Due to Los Angelos city regulations, poker rooms were not allowed to operate indoors, but with the COVID-19 situation moving in the right direction, the city gave the go-ahead for poker rooms to resume operations. This lead to the Bicycle Casino pening up and Live at the Bike returning
Of course with the COVID pandemic still a concern, the broadcast looked a lot different than previous Live at the Bikes streams. Plastic dividers separated each player seated at the table. Players wore masks.
The game of the night was $50/$100 No-Limit Hold’em with a $100 Big Blind Ante. In order to participate in the game, players were required to put down a minimum of $10,000.
The session was played six handed instead of the normal eight or nine-handed. Players joining the session included World Series of Poker Champion John Cynn as well as frequent participant and the unofficial face of Live at the Bike, Garret Adelstein.
Much more to come
Tuesday marked only the beginning of high-stakes action at Live at the Bike. In fact, poker fans won’t have to wait long at all until the next stream. It will return on Friday at the same time and the same game.
After that, poker fans can expect to view the action Monday through Friday beginning at 7 PM ET.
Poker fans can once again tune in to the Live at the Bike YouTube channel to watch it all unfold live.
Now that Live at the Bike has returned, hopefully, this is a continued sign that live poker will continue to be a big part of poker fans viewing entertainment. With the World Series of Poker Main Event held in December, the return of High Stakes Poker and now Live at the Bike making its debut, poker is starting to look a lot more normal.
