A Change from Vegas

I have travelled to Las Vegas more times that I can remember, and no two trips have been the same. Whilst I have tended to stay at the same casino resort on some of the more recent visits, thanks in no small part to the generosity of my host, every now and then I fancy a change of scenery completely.

I contacted my casino host recently and asked whether he could contact the host at one of their other properties, that being the Aquarius Casino in Laughlin and introduce me to that host, and true to form he came up trumps and put me in touch with a host at that casino who offered me three free nights and a hefty discount on any additional nights I wanted to stay.

If you are in such a position and fancy a complete change of scenery to Vegas, then I would encourage you to discover what Laughlin has to offer, it is around an hour’s drive away from Vegas and is set of the stunning banks of the Colorado River.

It boasts its own “strip” of casinos and as such if you are a gambler you are going to find plenty of different casinos to visit, and as any experienced slot player will tell you, there is no better feeling than discovering a new casino you have never visited and wandering around the gaming floor to see just what slots are on offer.

The best aspect of staying in Laughlin is that the casino resorts there have not yet jumped onto the casino resort fee bandwagon, and as such the price of your hotel room or suite is not going to be increased in value by those resort fees that Vegas has so warmly embraced!

One thing I did feel in Laughlin was safe, wandering around Vegas at any time of the night or day will often see you being approached by people asking for a cigarette or a dollar, however when in Laughlin you are much more likely to meet people who will wish you a Good Morning or Good Afternoon depending on when you pass them in the street.

Another thing I discovered in Laughlin is that the slot machines do seem to be much looser, when in Vegas you will have to head off-strip or to the Downtown area to find the better paying slots, however Laughlin casinos seem to all offer much higher paying slots with much higher paying payout percentages.

If you are a card or table game player you will also find the house edges on those types of casino games are much lower than many casinos in Vegas, so you will hopefully find your bankroll stretching much further when playing there.

Each Laughlin casino does of course offer its own players club so you are always going to be rewarded for your gaming action. If you ever do find yourself yearning for somewhere else to gamble then I would encourage you to find out more about what Laughlin has to offer you!
